Senior Web Developer
As a Senior Web Developer you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering a variety of traditional, print, video, and digital communications and marketing products to support the organizational brand and help achieve strategic business and communications goals. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and curating web content, conducting content maintenance, and developing new website functionality.

This is a contingent hire position.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the gathering of feedback on the user experience of web tools, external facing website and internal facing SharePoint site
  • Make recommendations for how to improve web tools and websites
  • Implement improvement recommendations to enhance the user experience of the web tools, external website and internal SharePoint site
  • Maintain content and curate new content to ensure functionality and that the design, navigation, and content reflects the monthly whole health theme
  • Check websites for and resolve broken links, typos, non-compliant content, and other errors
  • Conduct semi-annual content maintenance and development of new functionality for websites to ensure the content is accurate and engaging
  • Research and report on current trends to creative web-based internet programs
  • Ensure all web content is Section 508 compliant
  • Add or adjust pages to better target information to specific audiences
  • Track, quality check, and resolve all web updates for review with the client on a regular basis
  • Use web data analytics and digital tools to improve overall performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve content migration errors
  • Support other duties and assignments as required by clients
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5 years of experience producing advanced web content with VA TeamSite web CMS
  • 5 years of experience producing advanced web content with WordPress CMS
  • 5 years of experience producing advanced web content with Drupal CMS
  • Master's degree in related field
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, debug, and maintain web and mobile-friendly content
  • Experience supporting large, complex federal agencies, ideally the Department of Veterans Affairs
  • Ability to interact and engage with executive-level stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Teams), SharePoint, and MS Office 365
  • Knowledge of computer and networking with applications, principles, concepts, and methods
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance
